Health care and patient settlements
Open settlements for patients and health care customers: hospital and clinic data breaches, tracking on patient portals and health websites, and pharmacy, lab and telehealth billing, each checked on its official website.
These settlements come from lawsuits against hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, labs, telehealth services and other health care companies. Many are about data breaches that exposed patient records, or tracking code on a hospital website or patient portal that shared visitors' information with companies like Meta or Google. Others are about what patients were charged. A notice letter or email from the provider is often how people learn they qualify, but you can usually file without one if you fit the class definition. Only file for settlements you qualify for: claim forms are signed under penalty of perjury.

What is a health care class action settlement?
It resolves a lawsuit against a hospital, clinic, pharmacy, lab or other health care company, for example over a data breach of patient records, tracking pixels on a patient portal, or how patients were billed. The company pays into a fund or pays each eligible person, usually without admitting wrongdoing, and a court must approve the deal.
How do I know if I'm included?
Read the class definition on the official settlement website. It names the provider, the website, portal or incident, and the date range. Many cover people who were sent a notice, and some cover anyone who used a provider's website or patient portal during a set period.
Will filing a claim share my medical information?
Claim forms ask for contact details and, often, an ID from your notice. They don't ask for your medical history. Only file on the official settlement website, which is run by the court-approved administrator.
Do I need proof to file?
Often not for the basic payment. Many patient data breach and pixel settlements pay a flat or pro rata amount with no documents, while reimbursement for out-of-pocket losses needs proof. Each card shows what that settlement asks for.
Where do I file?
Only on the official settlement website, and filing is always free. Each card links to our detail page and to the official claim form.
