Tested side by side

Survey sites compared: an honest side-by-side test

We ran Swagbucks, Qmee, Prime Opinion and Survey Junkie side by side for about a week and logged every credited survey. The short version: they're pocket money, not an income, and each one suits a different kind of user.

How we tested

We used one account on each site for about a week in October 2026, with the same household profile on all four. We counted only surveys the site actually credited and checked them against balance changes. We compared how often attempts completed, how long completed surveys took, and what cashing out involved.

A note on screen-outs: many of our rejections came from automated quality and security checks, such as VPN or duplicate-device detection, not from ordinary “you don't qualify” screeners. Our test connection was a type these checks tend to flag, so someone on a typical home connection will likely be screened out less often than we were.

FAQ

Which survey site worked best in your test?

It depends on when and how you survey. Qmee was the easiest to cash out, with no minimum, and did best in our evening sessions. Swagbucks did best in daytime. Survey Junkie had the shortest surveys when we qualified. Prime Opinion was the hardest to get through.

Can you make a living from survey sites?

No. In our experience, survey sites are pocket money at best, even running several at once. Most attempts end in a screen-out.

Why do so many surveys screen you out?

Most surveys come from outside research panels with specific demographic targets and automated quality checks. On every site we tested, only a small fraction of attempts became a credited survey.
