Product class action settlements
Open settlements over products that had a defect or didn't match how they were labeled or advertised, each checked on its official website.
These settlements come from lawsuits claiming a product had a defect, or was labeled or advertised in a way that wasn't accurate. They usually cover people who bought or owned a specific model during a set date range, so the model number, serial number or VIN, and an old receipt or order confirmation can help you check. Only file for settlements you qualify for: claim forms are signed under penalty of perjury.

What is a product settlement?
It resolves a class action claiming a product was defective, or that its label or advertising was misleading. The company pays into a fund, pays each eligible buyer, or offers repairs or replacements, usually without admitting wrongdoing, and a court must approve the deal.
How do I know if I qualify?
Read the class definition on the official settlement website. It names the brands, models and date range covered. Many vehicle and appliance settlements have a VIN, model or serial number lookup on the official site.
Do I need a receipt to file?
Not always. Some settlements accept a claim without proof of purchase for a smaller payment, while others need a receipt, a serial number or repair records. Each card shows what that settlement asks for.
Is this the same as a recall?
No. A recall is a fix the maker or a safety agency announces, while a settlement resolves a lawsuit. They can overlap, and a settlement may pay for repairs or losses a recall didn't cover, so it is worth checking both.
Where do I file?
Only on the official settlement website, and filing is always free. Each card links to our detail page and to the official claim form.
